Mobile Ceramic Coating in Charlotte
Protection that lasts years, not months, and a car that's way easier to keep clean.
What is a ceramic coating?
A ceramic coating is a liquid layer that bonds to your clear coat and hardens into a slick, glossy shell. Think of it as a wax that lasts years instead of months. It takes the hits from rain, road grime, bird droppings, and tree sap so your paint doesn't have to.
Around Charlotte, that matters. Spring pollen coats everything yellow, summer sun bakes bugs and sap onto the paint, and winter roads leave a salty film. On a coated car, most of that rinses right off and water beads and sheets away instead of drying into spots.
The catch: a coating is only as good as the paint under it. Coat over swirls and water spots and you lock them in. That's why every coating we do starts with a full wash, decontamination, and polish before anything goes on the paint.
And because we're mobile, it all happens at your home or another spot that works for you. No dropping the car at a shop for days.
What's included in a ceramic coating
- Hand wash, wheels and tires included
- Full decontamination with iron remover and clay bar
- Polish to refine the paint before coating
- Panel prep so the coating bonds properly
- Ceramic coating applied to painted surfaces
- Aftercare tips so it lasts

What a ceramic coating will and won't do
Coatings get oversold a lot. Here's the honest version so you know exactly what you're paying for.
What it does
- Adds deep gloss that lasts far longer than wax
- Makes water bead and sheet off the paint
- Keeps dirt, pollen, and grime from sticking, so washing is faster
- Helps protect against bird droppings, sap, and UV fading
- Means no more re-waxing every few months
What it won't do
- Stop rock chips or door dings
- Make the paint scratch-proof (a dirty towel can still scratch it)
- Fix peeling or faded clear coat, which needs a repaint
- Survive weekly trips through brush car washes
- Replace washing. It just makes washing a lot easier
Our mobile ceramic coating process
Most of the work happens before the coating ever touches the paint.
Hand wash
A full hand wash, including wheels, tires, and door jambs, to get the loose dirt off.
Decontaminate
Iron remover and a clay bar pull out the bonded grime and rail dust that washing leaves behind.
Polish
We machine polish the paint to bring out gloss and refine the finish so the coating has clean, smooth paint to bond to.
Panel prep
Every panel gets a prep wipe to strip leftover oils so nothing sits between the paint and the coating.
Apply the coating
The coating goes on one section at a time and is leveled at the right moment, with lights to catch any high spots.
Cure and aftercare
We check the whole car over, then walk you through how to wash it so the coating lasts.

Mobile ceramic coating questions
How long does a ceramic coating last?
Years, not months. Exactly how long depends on the coating and how the car is cared for. Hand washing with a gentle soap and skipping brush car washes makes the biggest difference.
How long does a ceramic coating take?
Most coatings take a full day, since the prep and polishing take the most time. If the paint needs heavier correction first, it can run longer, and we'll tell you up front.
Do you need to polish my paint first?
Yes. Every coating we do includes a polish, because coating over swirls and water spots seals them in. If the paint is heavily swirled or scratched, we'll quote paint correction before the coating.
Will a ceramic coating stop rock chips or scratches?
No. It resists very light marks, like wiping with a clean towel, but it won't stop rock chips, door dings, or scratches from a dirty mitt.
When can I wash my car after it's coated?
Keep it dry for the first day or two while it cures, and hold off on washing for about a week. We'll give you the exact aftercare for the coating we use.
Can I still take it through an automatic wash?
We'd skip it. Brush washes scratch the paint and their harsh soaps wear the coating down faster. A hand wash keeps it looking right much longer.
Does weather matter?
Yes. Coatings need dry conditions to cure, so we'll plan around rain and want a garage or covered spot if possible.
Can a coating fix faded or peeling paint?
No. Once the clear coat is failing, the only real fix is a repaint. A coating can't bring it back.
Is a ceramic coating better than wax?
It lasts far longer and adds more gloss, but it costs more and takes more prep. If you want something simpler, our wash and wax adds a few months of protection.
