Mobile Paint Overspray Removal in Charlotte

Parked near a paint job and now your car feels like sandpaper? That's overspray, and it can come off.

What is paint overspray?

Run your hand across your car. If it feels like fine sandpaper, or you can see tiny specks of white or colored paint on the paint, glass, or trim, that's overspray. It happens when paint mist from a house painting job, construction site, body shop, or road crew drifts on the wind and lands on parked cars.

It usually isn't just one spot. Overspray tends to cover a whole side of the car, including the windows, plastic trim, and wheels, and it gets harder to remove the longer it sits and bakes in the sun.

Whatever you do, don't scrub it. Razor blades, rough towels, and rubbing compound will scratch the clear coat and turn one problem into two. We lift the overspray off with clay and overspray-safe removers, then lightly polish out any marring so the paint underneath stays healthy.

It's fully mobile. We take care of it at your home or work anywhere around Charlotte, so you don't have to drive a speckled car across town.

Our mobile overspray removal process

Slow and careful beats fast and aggressive. Here's how we get it off without hurting the paint.

  1. Wash

A full hand wash takes off the loose dirt so nothing gets dragged across the paint.

  2. Inspect

We check every panel, window, and piece of trim under light to see how far the overspray spread.

  3. Lift it off

Clay bar and overspray-safe removers pull the specks off the paint. Tougher spots get extra passes.

  4. Glass, trim, and wheels

Windows, plastic trim, and wheels get treated separately, since each surface needs a different approach.

  5. Light polish

A light machine polish removes any haze or marring left from the removal.

  6. Protect

We finish with a sealant, dressed tires, and clean glass so the car looks better than before it got hit.

Found overspray on your car? What to do and not do

The first few days matter. Here's how to keep it from getting worse.

What to do

  • Take photos of the affected areas right away
  • If a contractor caused it, ask about their insurance. Many cover overspray cleanup
  • Get it handled soon, before it bakes on in the sun
  • Text us photos for a quote

What not to do

  • Scrape it with a razor blade or your fingernail
  • Scrub it with a rough towel or brush
  • Use rubbing compound, thinner, or harsh solvents
  • Run it through a brush car wash and hope it comes off

Went for a deep cleaning after buying a new car. Cleaned the smokers smell out the car and even fixed some of the paint. Great guy.

My car was looking pretty disgusting but was immediately reassured that it wasn’t that bad and that he had seen worse. My car looks as close to brand new as it can and it was completed before the estimated time frame plus pricing is very reasonable. Great experience, money well spent & would recommend!

Mobile paint overspray removal questions

Can all overspray be removed?

Most of it, yes, especially if you get it handled soon. The longer it sits and bakes in the sun, the harder it gets.

What causes paint overspray?

Paint mist from nearby painting jobs, like houses, buildings, body shops, or road striping, carried by the wind onto parked cars.

Can you remove overspray from glass, trim, and wheels?

Usually, yes. Glass and smooth wheels clean up well. Textured plastic trim is the hardest, and some specks may not come out 100%.

I tried a clay bar and it's still there. Now what?

That's common. Clay works for light overspray, but heavier or fully cured paint needs overspray-safe removers and more passes. That's where we come in.

Will overspray removal damage my paint?

Not when it's done right. Even safe methods can leave light marring, which is why we finish with a light polish to leave the paint clear and glossy.

How long does overspray removal take?

Anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on how much overspray there is and how many surfaces it covers.

Can you give me a quote for an insurance or contractor claim?

Yes. Send us photos and we'll send a written quote you can pass along.

Do you need water or power?

No. We bring our own water and power, so we can work at your home, office, or apartment lot.

How do I get a price?

Send a few close-up photos of the affected areas and we'll quote from there.
